The Collicutt Centre needed the right aerial lift for repairs and maintenance inside the recreation centre. They needed a lift small enough to enter the building, below a specific weight requirement with non-marking tracks to assist in replacing acoustical panels, repair lighting, and the ceiling, with deadlines to complete the work.
WesternOne suggested an Electric Indoor Articulated Spider Lift (B-72) and Electric Z45/25. The B-72 machine fit the project envelope by solving three major issues: being small enough to access the pool; weight restrictions on pool floor surface (ceramic tile) with non-marking tracks; up and over access of the north-west corner of the roof by overcoming the hurdle of the pool depth increase. The B-72 and Z45/25 Electric Boom both allowed up and over access to the north-east corner of the roof overtop of the existing slide. Pool maintenance workers were able to replace the acoustical panels, the electrical contractor was able to replace and repair lighting, the ceiling was able to be refinished. The total project was of 6-weeks, multiple trades were able to utilize this single piece of specialized equipment.
